While adding things to my baby registry, I came across pacifier clips. These clips range anywhere from $6-$8 each. Hence, I was off to scour the web for pacifier clip tutorials. When you make them yourself, it will probably cost $1. Plus, you can make a lot, and give them away as baby shower gifts.
There are two types of pacifier clips you can make (shown below)- one with ribbon, and one with some sort of fastener. It depends on the type of pacifier you have.

Special supplies needed:
1- 1 inch suspender clips
Yes, they sell them at craft stores, but it's very pricey (almost $1 each). It's a lot cheaper to buy them in bulk. On amazon.com, I found 25 clips for $10 (with free 2-day shipping since I have amazon prime!). You can find similar prices on etsy, but then you will have to pay more for shipping and wait a little longer. I get impatient.
2- Kam snaps
I just bought this gadget and I love it. No more sewing in buttons for me. Kam snaps make everything easier. My recommendation is to buy the Kam snaps in bulk on amazon.com (cheaper), and then buy the pliers at Joann's using a 40% or 50% off coupon.
**Note, if you are using a ribbon to secure your pacifier, you will not need Kam snaps or buttons**
Steps:
1. Cut the fabric to 14x4 inches. I use quilters fabric.
2. Fold and press 1/4 inch on the short ends
3. Fold in the long sides, and press.
4. Fold in half again, and press
5. Topstitch a seam along the entire rectangle if you are using Kam snaps or buttons. If you are using a ribbon, only sew along 3 edges, and leave one short end open so that you can slip the ribbon in. After you slip the ribbon in, then you can sew the final edge.
6. Sew in the suspender clip
7. I reinforce it a couple of times
8. Add the Kam snap (or button)
And there you have it--- a finished pacifier clip! Easy peasy!
